Daisy and the Money

One of the main characters from The Great Gatsby, Daisy, obsesses over money. She is what you would call a, “gold digger”. That is why I thought the song “Golddigger” by Kanye West was perfect for Daisy. She seems to know that Tom, her husband, has been cheating on her, but he lives off of money and so she isn’t going to leave him.  She sticks around.
Daisy is comes off quite flirty. Nick is her cousin, but that doesn’t seem to matter because she still flirts with him. She does the exact same thing with Gatsby as well, but I feel that she might love him, especially once she saw his house and everything he owned. But besides that, Daisy is always flirting with some guy and I thought the line, “Yeah she's a triflin' friend indeedcould easily relate to her flirting.
Another line that I thought related well with Daisy and Gatsby both was, “I don't care what none of y'all say I still love her.” Gatsby knew how Daisy was; he even said that she likes the money. That didn’t stop him from loving her. He was practically obsessed with Daisy, no matter how she acted.

Inaugural Address

Throughout the many years of our lives, we have encountered a vast amount of changes in our society. Today, it would be unfair to say that we are the same as we used to be, more so, that our world that we are living in now is entirely different. This change may not be for the better, as for our knowledge and word choice has diminished through time.

That is why I come to you, my fellow citizens, to thank you for allowing me this opportunity to lead your country. Together we can create a country that is much more intelligent, and full of well -educated individuals. Although this is going to take hard work and determination, I know that we can achieve this.

I will make this world accepting. Where everyone, no matter who you are, gets along. There will be no such thing as seperation, and every single individual will be treated just like everyone else. This world has country has dealt with too much discrimination and racism throughout its time, and it has reached the point where it needs to end.

Together, I know, we will make this country a better place. I am honored to be the next leader of this country.
